The Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country in east Africa. 2009 population estimate is close to 33 million. Half of the population lives below the international poverty line of US$1.25 a day.


ABC Children's Aid Uganda
ABC Children's Aid has been working in Uganda since 1993 through Uganda Australia Foundation that became ABC Children's Aid in the year 2007.

Trudy and Francis Odida are the founders and directors of ABC in Uganda. Around 1,700 hildren receive now their education through the help of ABC Children's Aid in pre- and primary schools, secondary- and vocational schools in Uganda. The work is mainly in Kitetika close to Kampala and Rackoko in Pader district where ABC schools are operating plus in Gulu where children are sponsored to go to public schools.
